The Curious Case of Kashmir

Kashmir , a complex problem to the fair people.  What comes to our mind today when we hear about Kashmir is mainly about terrorism. But only a few decades earlier, the only word that Kashmir was related to was paradise. So, what has changed? I would say a lot of stuff but mainly the occurrence of a large amount of terrorist activities. Some people will not agree with this statement because they call these people as their liberators. They are liberators for some and terrorists for others. As they say, heroes of some are the villains of others. But the point is what made these liberators or terrorists, whatever we may call them, cause such a condition in the Kashmir valley. The only thing that comes to mind is the bad politics of the Kashmir valley. Politics in the region has never been good or even average. Most of the politicians are divided over their concept of Kashmir. Some want to remain with India, some want Pakistan while some want a separate country. But the thing is, a...

Rape Culture in India

Rape, a horrible word, has been associated with India quite frequently in the past couple of years. Rape is the most horrible of crimes. More horrible even than a murder. A rape kills a person while that person is still alive. Rape turns a victim into a living dead. India has been seen recently by many as the capital of the Rape crimes of the world. Well, we can't blame these people for saying this because India has seen quite a large rise in the number of rapes in the recent years. It is said that in every 20 minutes a rape case is reported in India. Recent rape cases in India has shown people the ugly part of the society of India. Be it the Nirbhaya rape case or the Delhi Uber rape case , the dreadful side of a man has been shown to us all. It makes us realize that human is the most dangerous of all the living beings. All these things have given India the tag of a rapist country. According to the National Crime Records Bureau 24,923 rape cases were reported across India in...

All the worries

As a kid, when you heard about certain stuff like ghosts it gave you the chills, probably, because you didn't understand what ghosts really are.Your only thought was that they are going to hurt you if you saw any of them and that scared you. But as we grow, stuff still remains the same. While most people are not afraid of ghosts when they grow up, probably because they think they don't exist or stop giving a crap about but other fears creep up and they take place of those ghosts. By the way, I am still afraid of the ghosts whether they exist or not. Fears like job security, education, love and countless many more. We get lost in all these fears and worries. An average person doesn't think more than this. He wants a good education, a good job, a good spouse and all the little things in life. But when things don't go according to our plans, we start to loose hope and our worries start. Hope of a better and a happy life is what keeps an average person going through the ...

The first trailer for Batman v Superman has arrived a few days ago and it looks like Superman is the bad guy. While the trailer looks awesome and it has to look awesome because it has got Batman and Superman in it, the ultimate superheroes. Finally, there is a start to compete against the Marvel Studio's Avengers . While the trailer was released with Portuguese subtitles, it was taken down from Youtube . Maybe the Warner Bros are thinking about some other event to release the trailer. But whatever, I am just happy about it and looking forward it to see it. On a final thought, I have to say  " Do you bleed? " #batmanVsuperman #Doyoubleed?

India wants Net Neutrality

India , a country with around quarter million internet users now wants net neutrality. While this concept seems to be new for many Indian internet consumers but it is going to affect every one of them. It is like saying don’t be racist to the data. Every data available on the internet should be treated the same way. You cannot create filters of your choice on the data of your choice.  That is not done. Airtel recently came up with a separate plan for VOIP calls. But they had to pull that after being criticized by many netizens.   Flipkart  recently pulled out of  Airtel Zero   plan and issued and official statement supporting net neutrality. The ISPs are thinking about more ways to earn money or in some cases recover their losses. Apps like  WhatsApp  have almost put an end to the SMS culture which has resulted in losses to the internet service providers. Most of the people in India don’t SMS now, they just WhatsApp. You can’t blame them also as te...
